About Sara B...
Sara Bailey Yoder, aka Sara B, is a New York–based artist whose work is rooted in intuition, emotion, and a deep sensitivity to place. Her paintings are known for their vibrant use of color, expressive movement, and layered texture — with color serving as the central language through which feeling and atmosphere are conveyed.
Her practice is informed by a life spent between two contrasting worlds. During much of the year, Sara lives and works in New York City, drawing inspiration from its pace, density, and constant motion. Each summer, she returns to Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan, where she helps her parents with their family Bed & Breakfast — a slower, seasonal rhythm that deeply influences both her life and her work.
This duality, city and stillness, momentum and pause, plays a central role in her paintings. The quiet repetition of summers spent in Northern Michigan, the generational nature of family work, and the grounding presence of nature offer a counterbalance to the energy of urban life. Together, these environments inform a body of work that feels both expansive and intimate.
Color is the defining element of Sara B’s style. She views color as a vehicle for joy, emotion, and connection — an invitation for the viewer to feel something immediately and intuitively. Through bold palettes and nuanced combinations, her work seeks to create moments of warmth, energy, and openness within a space.
Sara B approaches painting as a collaborative dialogue between instinct and intention. Whether working on original pieces or commissioned works, she values a slow, thoughtful process that allows emotion and atmosphere to guide each composition. Her commissions are created in close conversation with collectors, resulting in one-of-a-kind works that feel personal, timeless, and deeply considered.
In addition to her fine art practice, Sara B is the founder of Intuitive Creations by Sara B, her products bring a more playful, accessible extension of her artwork into everyday spaces.
Her work has been collected privately and continues to evolve alongside a growing focus on original paintings, commissions, and immersive creative experiences.
